1

A free 15-minute introductory call

If you would like to, we can begin with a short introductory call, by telephone or video. It is a chance to say a little about what has brought you here, to ask anything you want to ask, and to get a sense of how I work before committing to anything. There is no charge and no obligation.

2

Initial Consultation

In the consultation we go through your referral form together, and talk about your history, what has brought you to therapy now, and what you are hoping for from it. It is just as much a chance for you to ask questions — to get a feel for the space, for how I work, and for whether this feels like the right fit. By the end we will have a sense together of whether the work is likely to be short-term or longer-term.

3

Your ongoing sessions

From there we meet at the frequency we agreed, at the same time each week wherever possible. That steady rhythm matters: it gives the work a reliable place to happen, and it is often in the consistency that patterns become easier to notice and think about.

4

Regular reviews

At regular points we step back and look at the work together — what has shifted, what still feels difficult, and whether this approach is still the right one for you. Therapy is something you keep choosing rather than something that simply continues, and reviewing it openly is part of that.

Paying for therapy

Payment, cancellations and concessions

Sessions are paid for in advance of, or on the day of, each appointment. Your session time is held for you each week, so I ask for 48 hours’ notice of cancellation; sessions cancelled with less notice are charged in full.

A limited number of concessionary places are available for those on a low income. If cost is a barrier, please say so in your enquiry and we can discuss it openly.
